Damien Martyn was one of the good batsmen for Australia. He made his test debut in 1992 and retired from international cricket in 2006. Since his debut, he played 67 test matches and scored 4406 runs with an average 46.37 with 13 centuries and 23 half-centuries. Along with this, he represented Australia in 208 ODI’s scoring 5,346 runs at an average of 40.80.
In the Indian Premier League, Martyn was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in 2010 edition. He played only 1 IPL match scoring 19 off 24 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In that match, Rajasthan Royal was bowled out for 92 in 19.5 overs. Under the captaincy of Anil Kumble, RCB won the match with 56 balls to spare.
