Paul Valthaty one of the promising young talents made his first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh. He was picked in Indian Premier League by Kings XI Punjab franchise. He made his IPL debut in 2009. In the 2011 edition, Paul Valthaty played 14 matches and scored 463 runs with the best score of 120 not out against Chennai Super Kings.
In 2012 and 2013 editions, he did not play many matches for Kings XI Punjab. Since then fans have forgotten him.
