The third Test between the Indian cricket team and the South African cricket team is currently going on at Newlands in Cape Town where the rivalry between Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen made headlines. However, Team India won the toss and elected to bat first.

Team India started well but none of the players except Virat Kohli could steady in the middle for a long time. Although Kohli could not score his 71st international century, he played a top-notch knock of 79 runs and helped the team post a 223-run total on the board as well. Cheteshwar Pujara backed him well with a 77-ball 43, while Rishabh Pant scored a 50-ball 27 too.

Meanwhile, both Marco Jansen and Jasprit Bumrah were involved in a heated exchange during the previous Test. And this time, after Bumrah rattled the stumps of Jansen, his reaction left everyone surprised too.

Here is how Twitterati reacted:

“I don’t remember having a discussion or even eye contact with him” – Jasprit Bumrah

However, after the day’s game, Jasprit Bumrah opened up n this. He said in the press conference:

“I don’t remember having any conversation with him even once (in this match). Whatever happened in the last game, it ended there and we have moved forward in life. In this game, I don’t remember having a discussion or even eye contact with him. But yeah we are focussing on what our team has to do, the opposition can do whatever they want to do. We are trying to follow our processes and our contributions to get the team to a good position.”

However, Jasprit Bumrah not only dismissed him but also took four more wickets to register his seventh five-wicket haul in the longer format. His stunning spell of 5-42 helped India get the Proteas out for 210 as well.
