Former India skipper Virat Kohli got out cheaply in the 2nd ODI against West Indies. Kohli was removed for 18 runs by the medium-pacer Odean Smith as the 33-year old again edged an outside off delivery to the wicketkeeper.
In the recent past, Kohli has looked in great touch during his stay at the crease but has failed to end his century drought. His last international hundred came on 22nd November 2019.
In the first ODI of the ongoing, Kohli had hit the first two deliveries he faced, for boundaries. However, on the fourth ball, he was unable to control his pull shot and was caught in the deep by Kemar Roach off Alzarri Joseph’s bowling.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Virat Kohli’s dismissal in the 2nd ODI:

Slight away movement for bowler Smith, no movement of Kohli’s feet, ball edged for a simple catch behind the wicket. India’s position in this match worsens, Kohli’s struggle for a big score deepens

it's so hard to see your favorite cricketer struggling to find his rhythm again and again & wondering if it ever going to be same like the good old days.
but ya , always keep supporting.#viratkohli— Saurabh (@SAURABHYEET) February 9, 2022
67 inns without an International century for Kohli, last Int'l century was against Bangladesh without Shakib & Mustafizur, in India on 23rd November 2019. 8 & 18 Kohli's scores this series. Kohli also has 31 ducks in Int'l cricket. The most overrated cricketer in history #Cricket

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Virat Kohli completed the milestone of playing 100 ODI matches in India. He became the 5th Indian to make 100 appearances in the format at home.
Speaking of the game, West Indies fast bowlers did an exceedingly good job to reduce India to 43/3 with the out-of-form middle-order exposed in just 12 overs. But vice-captain KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav revived India with a much-needed 90-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
While the pacers continued to ask difficult questions, Rahul and Suryakumar targetted the spinner and were well-aided by a couple of poor fielding by the visiting side. They kept the scoreboard ticking with ones and two while the odd boundaries kept coming every now and then.
Just when things were looking bright for India, a miscommunication cost KL Rahul his wicket just one short of a brilliant half-century. At the time of writing, India were at 134/4 with Suryakumar Yadav batting at 40.
