Pakistan experienced player Azhar Ali was involved in a comical run out on the morning session of the third day of second test match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi today. This incident took in the 53rd over when Azhar hit a shot and thought it was a boundary. Both Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were involved in mid-conference, Tim Paine ran out. Azhar Ali was dismissed for 64.
Starting the 3rd day on 144 for 2, Nathan Lyon dismissed Harris Sohail quickly. Babar Azam and Azhar Ali added just 6 runs before this incident took place. It was an error from Azhar Ali part who thought it was a boundary and just did not run hard.

Pakistan made 282 runs in the first innings with Fakhar Zaman and Sarfraz Ahmed being the main contributors with 94 runs each. In reply, Pakistan bowled out Australia for a paltry total of 145 runs which gave the hosts a massive lead of 137 runs.
In the second innings, Fakhar Zaman contributed 66 runs and gave a solid foundation for Pakistan to build on a healthy lead. Azhar Ali and Zaman added 91 for the second wicket. Azhar came back into form with good stroke play on the 2nd day. The experienced Ali remained not out on 54.
Pakistan batsmen are not good runners. They must learn from other top countries to take quick runs and also focus on rotating strike. At the present moment, Pakistan is leading by 391 runs with 5 wickets in hand. Azhar Ali is one experienced player after Misbah UL Haq, Younis Khan left from the test squad.
