Injuries are a part of the game. It is something every cricketer takes in his stride and moves on. However, some of the nasty ones have ended many cricketers” career and even their lives. A similar kind of injury took place at Edgbaston a couple of days ago in the Natwest T20 Blast.
Warwickshire was hosting Nottinghamshire at Edgbaston. Put into bat, Nottinghamshire scored 158/6 with Samit Patel top scoring with 55 off 37. In reply, the Warwickshire batsmen paced their innings well cruising to a 6 wicket win.
A disturbing incident took place in 4th over of the innings. Luke Fletcher was bowling to Sam Hain. Hain smacked the ball straight back at the bowler hitting Fletcher on his head. Umpires immediately called for physio. Fletcher was forced to leave the field and did not bowl again after that.

Hope Luke Fletcher is ok, he couldn't do anything. Hope it's just a couple of stitches and he's ok. pic.twitter.com/4C9YnaVq8Y
