Pakistan won the second ODI against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo by 9 wickets. The “cakewalk” from the openers made the things easy for the visitors as they exhibited complete dominance on the hosts. Fakhar Zaman who looked in a fine touch in the T20I series, yet again starred with the bat as he smashed his second century.
What really grabbed the eyeballs of the audience is the performance of the speedster Hasan Ali, but not with his bowling. Ali”s post wicket celebration is widely known to the audience for some time.
Yesterday, after knocking down the stumps of Zimbabwe batsman Murray, Hasan Ali miserably failed in the celebration as he hurt his neck. A minor muscle pull in the neck came as a hindrance to his explosive celebration.
Pakistan openers
The openers are playing the anchor”s role in the squad right now. Imam-Ul-Haq scored a century in the previous game and Zaman amazed with his scintillating knock in the second.
Lack of star players is really hurting Zimbabwe and the Board doesn”t look like solving the issues anytime soon. The third ODI of the series will be played at the same venue on Wednesday.
Pakistan will be looking to whitewash the hosts and make considerable gains in the ICC ODI rankings. With the world cup 2019 just a year away, they will also try to build their starting XIÂ using this series as a platform for the same.
