The rise of Jofra Archer in International cricket is inspirational. After making an impact in several T20 leagues across the World, he finally made sure to represent the English side in their World Cup campaign.
Disastrous outing in 2015 left a big void in the English cricket. A lot of specialists were then given many chances irrespective of failure and that”s the reason why they now have been dominating the format. Jofra is no exception.
He was included in the 15-member World Cup in place of David Willey. The inclusion was debatable and Jofra was the highlight even before playing any game in the tournament.Â
He proved them wrong by delivering critical spells and giving breakthroughs with his unplayable deliveries. Yorker being his USP, he troubled almost everyone with the delivery. His tally of 19 wickets (updated till second semi-final) has certainly been critical for England to reach the final. Now, he is just an inch closer to glory being a part of the Final.Â
Jofra”s home side, Sussex showed a lovely gesture on his journey as a cricketer. They shared a beautiful memory from his debut for Sussex three years ago, to now when he is all set to be one of the bowling spearheads for the National side.
They wished him all the very best and definitely put a smile on his face ahead of the finals.
