Nepal is the latest team to attain the ODI status after their victory against Papua New Guinea in the playoffs of the ICC CWC 2018 qualifiers.
The Himalayan kings won the match comfortably by 6 wickets.
Nepal skipper Paras Khadka, in his new video, thanked the cricketing fraternity after attaining ODI status.
He said “First of all, I thank everyone on behalf of our team for supporting us through the internet all over the world. Unfortunately, we hadn”t made to super six, but glad to know we have got a fan following greater than few tests playing nations in the ICC website. Keep supporting and motivating us. We will try to bring the best results for the country. “
It is to be noted that the team has been receiving accolades for their all-around performance against the associate nations.
Nepal attained the ODI status, twelve years after their appointment as an associate nation.
Sandeep Lamichhane, their Frontline spinner will represent DD in this edition and thus becomes the first player from Nepal to be a part of the cash-rich league.
