Local fans at Chennai gave Mahendra Singh Dhoni a big cheer when he came to bat during the 1st ODI against Australia played at M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai today. The crowd chanted Dhoni, Dhoni due to his Indian Premier League stint with Chennai Super Kings since 2008.
India won the toss and elected to bat first. The hosts lost 3 early wickets of Rahane, Kohli and Manish Pandey at the score of 11. Rohit Sharma tried to play a big shot, was caught on the boundary with the score at 64 for 4 in the 16th over. It was a jam-packed crowd at Chennai. As Dhoni came to the crease, people were happy to see Chennai Super Kings captain return to his home crowd.
