Team India all-rounder Vijay Shankar has tied the knots with his fiancée Vaishali Visweswaran, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad confirmed. Incidentally, Vijay represents the franchise in the cash-rich league.
Earlier, in August 2020, Vijay Shankar got engaged to Vaishali and he shared the news and a couple of pics on his official Instagram handle. It was before Shankar was about to go to the United Arab Emirates for the 2020 edition of the cash-rich and prestigious IPL.

The wedding took place adhering to all the necessary coronavirus pandemic precautionary measures. Hyderabad took their official Twitter handle to share the delightful piece of news with the fans.

Speaking about cricket, Vijay Shankar has failed to attract the Indian selectors ever since he was ruled out of the ICC World Cup in 2019 in England. The all-rounder from Tamil Nadu has also witnessed a dip in the form and managed to play only seven games in IPL 2020 in the UAE. His most memorable performance came against Rajasthan Royals when he helped Sunriserss Hyderabad to chase down 155 runs with the help of an unbeaten 52-run knock.
Recently, he played one match for Tamil Nadu, his state team, in the 2021 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. In the game against Jharkhand at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, he got run out scoring only four runs.
Vijay Shankar, meanwhile, will set his eyes in the upcoming IPL to revive his form and once again be in the reckoning for the national side.
