Virat Kohli, the former Indian skipper, was recently spotted at a religious event of Krishna Das, in London. Kohli attended the occasion with his wife Anushka Sharma. The event was organized at the Union Chapel, in London, over a couple of days, July 14 and 15.
Furthermore, Krishna Das is a prominent American vocalist and intones Hindu devotional songs. Hanuman Das, one of Krishna Das’ devotees posted a picture of himself with Kohli and Sharma, via Instagram, which eventually revealed Kohli’s presence at the ‘Kirtan’ event.
Besides, Kohli, alongside his fellow Indian cricketers, will be playing the last game of the India tour of England, on Sunday, July 17. The final game of the three-match One Day International series will be played at Old Trafford, Manchester. The match will decide the winner of the series, as both the sides have won a game each.
India won the first game at the Kennington Oval in London by 10 wickets. India’s most recent Test skipper Jasprit Bumrah’s deadly bowling spell of 6 for 19 aided India to lead the way by 1 – 0. Although, England, in the second game of the series, came back stronger to attain a victory by 100 runs. The English left-arm pacer Reece Topley’s brilliant spell of 6 for 24 at the Lord’s restricted the Rohit Sharma-led men, to leveling the series. The Indian unit will now look to seal another series win, while the Jos Buttler-led England men will try not to repeat the T20 International series result.
Kohli’s Century Drought Continues !!
Kohli, undoubtedly an Indian batting superstar, hasn’t been himself for long. The 33-year-old has been enduring a rough phase of his extraordinary cricketing career, as he has continuously botched to score runs. Kohli, in the ongoing England tour too, has not scored many runs. His Test scores were 11 (19) and 20 (40), while in T20Is too, Kohli’s scores were not considerable.
In India’s last outing against England, Kohli looked in good touch and managed to score 16 runs in 25 deliveries, with three fours. It was again, his outside-off troubles, as the right-hand batter was dismissed off a good length ball from David Willey.
Kohli is also set to miss the Caribbean tour, which is to commence by the end of July. Considering India’s upcoming T20 World Cup campaign in Australia, Kohli’s form is very crucial for the Team.
