Virat Kohli once again was dismissed by a spinner and this time it was the turn of Moeen Ali. The England spinner had troubled Kohli even in the second Test match once again had the better of him. Kohli walked into bat after India had got a flying start courtesy of a splendid opening stand between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Kohli was looking to bat aggressively against spinners against whom he has struggled in the recent past.
The dangerman for Kohli was expected to be Rashid Ali but in the 3rd ODI, it was Moeen Ali who stunned him and castled him for just 7 runs. The Indian captain had a shell-shocked look on his face as he completely missed a regulation off-spinner and player all over it. To be honest the delivery of Moeen Ali seemed a half-tracker which could have been put away by Kohli.

However, surprisingly the Indian captain decided to play against the turn and force it on the off-side. The ball turned slightly and Kohli completely missed the back foot shot and the ball crashed into his leg stump. The England spinner Ali dismissed Virat Kohli for the 9th time in his international career as his struggle against spin continues.

India is currently 176 for 4 after 27 overs as Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant are batting aggressively against the spinners of England. India is aiming to put a massive total on the board of over 350 runs after the way England batted in the second ODI match. Pant is batting fearlessly on 43 while Hardik is on 15 runs in the ODI series decider in Pune.
