MS Dhoni has only 14 wins from 40 games as captain against Australia in Australia. Kohli is sitting pretty at 11 wins from 14 games. A clean sweep in the ODI series will help Kohli equal MS Dhoni’s feat.

Another major record that Virat Kohli is eyeing in Australia is to go past Tendulkar’s tally of total centuries against Australia. Sachin has 49 ODI tons as compared to Kohli’s 43. However, the record which Kohli is eying is to go past Sachin’s tally on nine ODI hundreds against Australia. Kohli has already has eight ODI centuries to his name against the Aussies. Two more will take him past the Little Master.
Sachin Tendulkar: 71 matches, 3077 runs and 9 centuries

Virat Kohli with 70 international centuries is also third on the list of players with most international centuries. Though he is quite far away from Sachin’s 100 international centuries, he needs one to equal Ricky Ponting’s record of 71 international centuries and two more to go past him, which he can easily aim in the three ODIs and the first Test in Adelaide.
