Former Indian opener Wasim Jafer has suggested interesting changes for Virat Kohli’s Team India ahead of the decider against England in Pune. England won the second ODI to level the series and set up a decider on Sunday in Pune. Meanwhile, Pune has truly lived upto its reputation of producing absolute belters. Keeping that in mind and the power-hitting ability of the England batters, Jaffer has suggested a few changes.

Wasim Jaffer brought his A-game on Twitter and suggested the changes that he would like to see in the Indian playing XI for the decider.

“Good morning @imVkohli a photo to brighten up your morning. And yes, good luck for the game tomorrow #INDvsENG #decode,” Jaffer tweeted on Saturday with a picture that read – “Chess players can be seen in the late afternoon sun in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NY.”

Wasim Jaffer’s Canny Suggestion To Team India

In the process, he indicated his suggestions to the Indian skipper in a very cunning way. Chess players referred to Yuzvendra Chahal who has represented the nation in chess in the past. ‘Sun’ referred to the inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Square obviously meant the inclusion of Washington Sundar in the line-up.

Meanwhile, the Indian fans were quick to respond to Jaffer’s tweet and decide the changes.

While the batting line-up looks settled, India like England would like to change their bowling attack especially with Krunal Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav both going the distance. Thus the inclusion of Chahal in place of Kuldeep and Washinton Sundar in place of Krunal Pandya made pure sense.

With KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant both firing in the middle-order, it will be interesting to see if Surya can find a place in the playing XI. India and England will lock horns in the third and final ODI of the series on March 28 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
