India and England face-off in the 3rd ODI which is also the series decider after England’s win in the second ODI levelled it 1-1. If the first two games is anything to go by, then were are up or another run-fest with big hitters on both sides. Pune has truly lived upto its reputation of producing absolute belters and we are expecting another one in the final game. More about the 3rd ODI preview in detail below.

England well and truly outplayed India in the second ODI. The chase which started with India having the advantage turned out to be one-sided courtesy Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes‘s counter-attacking partnership. England hit 20 sixes with Stokes along hitting 10 of them in his 52-ball 99, which was no less than an assault on Indian bowlers. Bairstow proved his love for the white-ball game as he notched up his 11th ODI ton in just 85 games.

England stand-in skipper Jos Buttler has said his team will continue backing their attacking style of play which has paid off for them in the last four to five years. While the batting line-up is expected to remain the same, England might look to change their bowling arsenal.

India-England To Play Decider In Pune

India, on the other hand, have found themselves in this place before and have won deciders before as well. They will know exactly how to go about their business to win the game. Their batters have found form just in the knick of time and their middle-order has bloomed in the presence of KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant.

While the batting line-up looks settled, India like England would like to change their bowling attack especially with Krunal Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav both going the distance.

Meanwhile, India vs England 2021 ODI series is also a part of ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, which is also known as the ODI Super League. The top seven teams on the points table will qualify for ICC World Cup 2023 slated to be held in India while the remaining teams will have to play qualifiers.
