Arshdeep Singh became the most expensive pacer at the IPL 2025 auction

Released by Punjab Kings (PBKS) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, the left-arm pacer was expected to attract significant interest, given his reputation as one of the top short-format bowlers in India.

At the auction, Arshdeep’s name triggered a bidding war, with teams like Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) all showing interest.

He was eventually sold to SRH for ₹15.75 crore. However, PBKS exercised their Right to Match (RTM) option and secured the bowler for ₹18 crore, making him the most expensive pacer in the IPL 2025 auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad retained Abhishek Sharma for ₹14 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. The left-handed batter delivered a stellar performance in IPL 2024, amassing 484 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 204.21, solidifying his position as a key player for SRH.
