India A batter Abhishek Sharma and Pakistan A bowler Sufiyan Muqeem engaged in a verbal spat during the fourth match of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup on Saturday, October 19, at the AI Amerat Cricket Ground.
On the first ball of the seventh over, Sufiyan delivered a well-targeted ball on off stump. Abhishek attempted to attack it, charging down the pitch in an effort to hit the ball over cover, but he ended up edging it instead. This mistake allowed Qasim Akram to make an easy catch at the point.
Following the wicket, the Pakistani bowler gave Abhishek a heated send-off, which led the Indian batter to respond with words and an intense glare. You can watch the video here:

Abhishek Sharma scored 35 runs off 22 balls, hitting five boundaries and two sixes. His wicket left India A at 68 for one after 6.1 overs.
Strong contributions from the top order helped India set a competitive total
India A won the toss and opted to bat first. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh added 68 runs off 37 balls for the first wicket, with Abhishek making 35 runs and Singh scoring 36 off 19 balls.
Captain Tilak Varma played a strong innings, scoring 44 runs off 35 balls with two fours and two sixes. Nehal Wadhera contributed 25 runs off 22 balls, while Ramandeep Singh added 17 runs off 11 balls as India A finished with 183 for eight after 20 overs. Sufiyan Muqeem took two wickets for Pakistan A.
In reply, Anshul Kamboj provided two early breakthroughs for India A, dismissing Mohammad Haris (6) and Omair Yousuf (2) cheaply. At the time of writing, Pakistan A was at 32 for two after four overs, needing 152 runs to win, with Yasir Khan (9) and Qasim Akram (10) at the crease.
