[WATCH]- Azam Khan Makes A Stunning Catch To Dismiss Johnson Charles In The CPL 2024 Match

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, Pakistan‘s Azam Khan made a remarkable catch to dismiss Johnson Charles during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match. The game, featuring the Guyana Amazon Warriors and the Saint Lucia Kings, was held at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.

The sixth over of St Lucia’s innings is where it all happened. Keemo Paul pitched one full-length ball outside off and Charles tried driving it towards the off side. But instead of that the right-handed batsman managed to just about get an edge off the ball by poking at it away from his body. A blinder was completed by diving Azam on his right.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated the Saint Lucia Kings by 6 wickets in the CPL 2024

In CPL 2024, the Guyana Amazon Warriors managed to triumph over the St Lucia Kings by six wickets thanks to a clinical all-around display. When they were asked to bat first, St Lucia Kings were bundled out for just 100 in 14.3 overs. Matthew Forde was the only other batsman who could support him as he made 31 runs off 21 balls with the help of two sixes and three boundaries.

In addition, Johnson Charles, Ackeem Auguste and Tim Seifert were the others who batted well enough to score double-figures. For Guyana, the leading wicket-takers were Imran Tahir and Guadekesh Motie with three wickets each while Keemo Paul managed two scalps.

As for Guyana 10 overs before time, the target man stood up to lead with his contribution of 47 runs from 19 balls hitting seven out of them over the fence. Tim Robinson meanwhile scored 33 from 20 with two maximums and three boundaries. Noor Ahmad put up a fighting display but could only return figures of 3/22 while Alzarri Joseph grabbed one wicket.

With this victory, Guyana moved top of the points table having won all three games. St Lucia on the other hand dropped to third position after suffering their first season defeat following back-to-back victories over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as well as Antigua & Barbuda Falcons.
