Zimbabwe all-rounder Brad Evans produced a sensational catch to end Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s impressive innings in the third and final T20I against India at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday, July 26. The breakthrough came off the last ball of the 15th over.

Wessly Madhevere tossed one up outside off, generating turn away from the batter. Suryavanshi stretched forward and looked to loft it straight down the ground, but Evans charged in from long-off and pulled off a superb full-length diving catch to complete the dismissal.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi played another outstanding innings, bringing up his second half-century of the series before falling for 81 off 49 deliveries. His knock included eight boundaries and four sixes, leaving India at 145/3 after 15 overs.

After opting to bat first, India suffered an early setback as Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just two runs off four balls in the second over. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ishan Kishan then rebuilt the innings with a solid partnership, guiding the visitors to 64/1 at the end of the powerplay.

Suryavanshi reached his second T20I half-century in just 31 deliveries. He and Kishan stitched together a 75-run stand off 50 balls for the second wicket before Kishan departed for 29 off 26 in the 11th over. Captain Shreyas Iyer joined Suryavanshi in the middle and the pair maintained the scoring rate with a brisk 50-run partnership off 29 deliveries.

Suryavanshi’s fine innings came to an end at 81 off 49 balls, while Iyer contributed 27 from 18 deliveries. Rinku Singh and Tilak Varma added the finishing touches in the final overs with an unbeaten 28-run partnership off 17 balls. Rinku smashed 25 off 14, while Tilak stayed not out on 11 from nine deliveries, helping India post 192/5 in their 20 overs.
