The current generation is blessed to witness two legendary batsman – Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara dominate the game. They are arguably the most decorated batsmen the game have ever seen. Recently Lara shared a video of his son which reminded the master blaster of his younger days.
While Tendulkar impressed with his drives – both on and off the wicket, Lara was more of a stylish batsman. He had a Caribbean flavour in his batting with high bat lifts and long stretches. Brian Lara shared a video of his son playing cricket with a plastic bat.

However, the West Indies legend noted that the way he grips the bat shows that he wants to be a left-handed batsman but the boy is batting right-handed.
“Look at the way he grips the bat, that tells me he wants to be a left-handed batsman,” Lara said in his caption to the video.

Soon after the video surfaced on the internet, India legend Sachin Tendulkar also shared a picture of him along with Brian Lara’s son. The master blaster implicated that he used to hold the bat in a similar fashion and came up with a funny caption.
“@brianlaraofficial I know of another boy who had a similar grip and didn’t do too badly in international cricket,” Sachin captioned his post on Instagram.

Furthermore, Brian Lara chipped in with a comment praising the Indian great Sachin Tendulkar. The Caribbean said that Tendulkar was a nightmare and many bowlers felt that he had a sword in his hands. The southpaw added that he won’t any more interfere with the batting technique of his son.
“I can see that @sachintendulkar and some of the best bowlers in the world felt that sword! Well, I am not interfering then lol. Thanks for the advice. #rightvsleft #legend #mostruns #recordsmen.”
Sachin Tendulkar ended the precious conversation saying that the boy has a bright future considering that he will learn from the best in the business.
