During the Milpitas event, Rohit Sharma expressed his anticipation for the upcoming mega event next year.
“More than just going and enjoying, there is another reason to come here (in the USA). Because you know the World Cup is coming. In June, there will be the T20 World Cup (2024) happening in this part of the world. So, I’m pretty sure everyone is excited. So yaa, we look forward to that,” Rohit said in the video.
Recently, Rohit has not been part of T20Is, as Hardik Pandya assumed the captaincy in the shortest format. His most recent T20 match took place during this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).
India is presently engaged in a three-match T20I series against West Indies. The visiting team is behind 0-1, and the second T20I is scheduled for Sunday.
