Australian openers have got off to a brilliant start against Pakistan in the ongoing first test match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Usman Khawaja has played the aggressor’s role, while David Warner too has kept the scoreboard ticking.

During the match, David Warner was engaged in an intense battle with the Pakistan pacers. However, the Aussie kept his cool and was seen exchanging a few smiles with the bowlers. The Pakistan Cricket Board posted a video of the incident, on their social media handle. They captioned it as, “Bowlers 🤝  Warner. All Cool #BoysReadyHain l #PAKvAUS”

Imam-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali slam daddy hundred’s

Pakistan batters Imam-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali slammed centuries against Australia in the ongoing first test match in Rawalpindi. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first.

Their openers, Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq started off brilliantly adding 105 runs for the first wicket before Shafique was dismissed. Azhar Ali then joined Imam at the crease, to add, 208 runs for the second wicket stand. I

Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed by Pat Cummins for 157 runs off 358 deliveries, including 16 boundaries and two sixes. While Azhar Ali slammed 185 runs off 361 balls. His knock included 15 boundaries and three sixes. Pakistan declared the innings at 476 runs at the loss of six wickets.

“I enjoy scoring runs against Australia, who are definitely one of the top teams in the world. I wanted to score a double hundred, but they did not allow quick runs. When I took risks against spinners, I got out,” said Azhar Ali at the press conference.

The Pakistan batter added that he is delighted at his knock. “They test your ability and challenge you with some tight bowling, so it’s always enjoyable to come good against that, and I am delighted at my knock,” said Azhar.

Meanwhile, Australia is 136 for no loss in reply to Pakistan’s 476. Usman Khwaja is batting on 70 runs, with David Warner on 58*.
