Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya displayed remarkable power-hitting during India’s T20 World Cup fixture against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12. Dube registered a 107-metre six, while Pandya followed with a 109-metre maximum off Bernard Scholtz in the same over.
The aggressive strokeplay occurred in the 15th over of India’s innings. Scholtz delivered a fuller-length ball on the stumps, which Dube struck cleanly over mid-wicket for a towering six. Subsequently, under mounting pressure, the bowler conceded a wide delivery down the leg side that resulted in a boundary.
Dube then took a single off the next ball, giving the strike to Pandya. Pandya made the most of it by hitting a good-length delivery over long-off for an even bigger six. The over produced 24 runs in total.

Dube, Hardik Seal Dominant Finish For India Against Namibia In T20 WC 2026
A crucial stand between Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube propelled India to an imposing total against Namibia in their T20 World Cup encounter. Their late surge enabled the Men in Blue to post 209/9 in 20 overs.
Pandya led the charge with a brisk 52 off 27 deliveries, striking four sixes and four boundaries, before being dismissed courtesy of an exceptional boundary catch by Dylan Leicher. Dube contributed 23 from 16 balls but was eventually run out.
At the top of the order, Ishan Kishan set the tone with a scintillating 61 off just 24 balls, laced with five sixes and six fours. Sanju Samson also provided early momentum, smashing 22 off eight deliveries, including three maximums, before his departure.
Tilak Varma (25 off 21) and captain Suryakumar Yadav (12 off 13) got starts but were unable to convert them into substantial scores. For Namibia, Gerhard Erasmus was the standout bowler, claiming 4/20.
India, the defending champions, had earlier secured a 29-run victory over the USA in their tournament opener, while Namibia suffered a seven-wicket defeat against the Netherlands.
