The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has made a lightning start in the UAE. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have not left an inch and we have witnessed a gripping encounter so far in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the show-stopper so far was Faf du Plessis, who grabbed two breath-taking catches in the long-on boundary.
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma and Quinto de Kock gave Mumbai a flying start. The new ball came hard on the bat as the played their shots on up to collect a few boundaries. MS Dhoni was quick to recognise it and introduced spin which did the trick.
Piyush Chawla drew the first blood getting Rohit Sharma out while Sam Curran struck from the other end. Things slowed down since as Suryakumar Yadav and Saurabh Tiwary collected the singles while the odd boundaries kept coming. Tiwari, who made a comeback after a long time, looked in prime touch and threatened to take the game away from Chennai.

The incident took place in the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians innings. Ravindra Jadeja bowled full as Hardik Pandya went for a loft over long-off. The ace all-rounder struck it really flat and hard and it looked to go the distance.
Faf du Plessis had to move to his right a bit this time, yet he timed the jump brilliantly, released the ball as he was going over the rope and then swallowed it again to dismiss Pandya. He once again proved that age is just a number in the game.
