[WATCH] Fan In Tears After Sanju Samson’s Mighty Six Hits Her In The Stands

In the fourth T20I between South Africa and India at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday (November 15), India‘s wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson hit a six that struck a spectator in the stands. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, India saw Samson open the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma.

The pair added 73 runs before the powerplay, with Sharma dismissed for 36 on the second-to-last ball of the sixth over. Samson continued his aggressive approach, smashing boundaries and towering sixes.

He brought up his third T20I half-century with a six off the first ball of the 10th over bowled by Tristan Stubbs. On the very next ball, he hit another six over deep midwicket, which unfortunately struck a spectator in the crowd.

Team India posted 283/1 in 20 overs in the 4th T20I against South Africa in 2024

India won the toss in the series decider and chose to bat first. Abhishek Sharma (36 off 18) and Sanju Samson opened the innings, putting on 73 for the first wicket before Sharma was dismissed by Lutho Sipamla.

After that, South Africa struggled to break the partnership as Samson (109 off 56) and Varma (120 off 47) both reached centuries. Tilak became the second Indian, after Samson, to score consecutive T20I centuries, while Samson became the first player this year to score three T20I tons.

Tilak Varma became just the second Indian to score two consecutive T20I centuries during the fourth match against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday, joining Sanju Samson in this elite group.

India finished with 283/1 after 20 overs, with Sipamla being the only bowler to take a wicket. India now lead the four-match T20I series 2-1, with an unassailable advantage.
