Team India reliable Virat Kohli had a noteworthy communication with a fan in the victory parade in Mumbai on Thursday (July 4th). The complete Indian cricket team, which include players and support staff, united in an open bus parade besides Marine Drive in South Mumbai.

It was arranged to commemorate the team’s successful run at the recently concluded 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India clinched the trophy after a hard-fought battle against South Africa in the final on June 29th, marking India’s first ICC tournament win in 11 years.

The team had faced numerous disappointments over the past decade following their triumph in the 2013 Champions Trophy in England, led by MS Dhoni. Fans gathered in large numbers on the streets of Mumbai to celebrate the special occasion with their beloved cricketers.

One of Virat Kohli’s admirers went to great lengths by climbing a tree to get a closer look at his favorite player while they were on the bus. Kohli noticed the fan perched in a tree nearby and gestured to his teammate Ravindra Jadeja to bring it to his attention.

“The scenes we witnessed on the streets tonight are memories I will cherish forever”- Virat Kohli

During the World Cup victory celebrations at Wankhede Stadium, Virat Kohli expressed gratitude to all the fans for their support and affection. He remarked (as reported by ESPNcricinfo):

“A big thank you to all the people who turned up in the stadium. What we saw on the streets tonight is something I’m never going to forget in my life. The last four days have been a roller-coaster of a ride.”

He further continued:

“As soon as we won the World Cup, we wanted to get out of Barbados, get back to India and celebrate with everyone. We got stuck in the hurricane, so it was an anti-climactic feeling. But since we’ve been back, it’s been phenomenal.”
