Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya lost control of his bat during his innings against Bangladesh in the first T20I in Gwalior. Despite this mishap, he still managed to hit a boundary, and a video of the moment is going viral on social media.
The Men in Blue won the match by seven wickets at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium on Sunday, October 6. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, India restricted Bangladesh to 127 in 19.5 overs and chased down the target in just 11.5 overs.
Pandya was the top scorer for India in the chase, finishing with an explosive 39* off 16 balls, which included five fours and two sixes. One of his boundaries came when he lost his bat while attempting to hit a full toss from Taskin Ahmed; the bat flew toward square leg, but the ball went past backward point and crossed the boundary.
