[WATCH]- Hazrat Bilal’s Massive No-Ball In Abu Dhabi T10 Sparks Spot-Fixing Controversy

UAE pacer Hazrat Bilal attracted significant attention online after bowling an unusually massive no-ball in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The incident occurred during the match between the New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army on Friday, November 22.

The league has faced criticism amid growing concerns over possible spot-fixing, with this incident further raising doubts about its integrity. Critics have called for the International Cricket Council (ICC) to oversee T20 and T10 leagues globally to maintain fairness and uphold the sport’s credibility.

The incident occurred during the fifth match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League between Morrisville Samp Army and New York Strikers at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Hazrat Bilal, a UAE pacer with seven ODI appearances, was representing Samp Army and bowled the controversial no-ball in the fourth over while defending a target of 136.

Bilal began the over with a dot ball and a wide, followed by the dismissal of Zeeshan Abid. After another dot ball to Asif Ali, he delivered a no-ball with his heel clearly over the line by more than a foot. This sparked suspicion among fans, with many voicing concerns over potential fixing in the tournament.

“Was That A Free Hit?”- David Warner

Teammates Faf du Plessis and Reece Topley couldn’t contain their laughter after watching the replay, while former Australian opener David Warner raised questions about whether the free hit for the no-ball was correctly awarded.

“Was this a free hit in the Abu Dhabi T10 League?” Warner wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Abu Dhabi T10 League has been mired in controversy due to previous corruption cases, leading to ICC-imposed bans earlier this year.

Pune Devils’ batting coach Ashar Zaidi was handed a five-year ban for corruption, while team owners Parag Sanghavi and Krishan Kumar Choudhary received two-year bans for failing to report corrupt practices. The latest no-ball incident has only heightened concerns about the league’s integrity.
