Prithvi Shaw has been facing increasing criticism after going unsold at the IPL Mega Auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Despite setting his base price at ₹75 lakh, the 25-year-old was unable to attract any bids.
In the midst of this, a video of Shaw discussing the trolling he faces due to his poor form went viral on social media, drawing significant attention. Prithvi Shaw expressed his pain over being trolled, especially after facing backlash for a viral video of him dancing with friends at his birthday party.
Speaking on the YouTube channel, Focused Indian, the young cricketer shared his perspective on dealing with online criticism and public scrutiny. He stated:
“If someone isn’t following me, how can they troll me? It means they’re keeping an eye on me, which I find amusing. While trolling isn’t good, it’s not entirely negative either. If people make memes on me, I see them as well. I sometimes get hurt,” he further expressed.
