On Day 2 of the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Jasprit Bumrah gave India the early advantage by shockingly dismissing Shadman Islam. The left-handed batsman was taken aback by the ace pace bowler’s accuracy and quickness.
With Bumrah’s breakthrough, India got off to the ideal start as Bangladesh found themselves trailing. Prior to this, Bangladesh chose to field and bowled out India for 376 runs.
India managed to score a competitive total because to centuries from Ravichandran Ashwin and half-centuries from Ravindra Jadeja. The task of neutralizing India’s formidable bowling assault now falls on Bangladesh’s batting squad.
India seized momentum after Bumrah’s early strike, applying pressure to the visitors. As soon as Bumrah celebrated his wicket, the Chepauk crowd went wild, igniting an exciting match.

In his opening over, world-class fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah surprised Shadman Islam with a brilliant delivery. Shadman decided to leave it, thinking he would have a comfortable lead beyond his stumps and expecting the ball to swing away.
But he was unprepared for Bumrah’s level of skill. Shadman was utterly unprepared for the deft manipulation of the ball by the India bowler, who caused a modest inward movement.
Shadman misjudged the delivery and watched in horror as the ball struck his off-stump, sending the stumps flying. After understanding too late that Bumrah’s skill had outwitted him, the Bangladeshi opener’s disbelief turned to disappointment.
As of this writing, Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque have both been dismissed by Akash Deep, giving India two consecutive successes. Bangladesh scores 26/3 at lunchtime, with Mushfiqur Rahim joining Najmul Hossain Shanto at the crease. In order to compete with India, Bangladesh, who are three down, depends on these two hitters for a solid combination. The bowlers from India, however, are hoping to take some more wickets.
