The India-Bangladesh Test match at Green Park, Kanpur, resumed on Monday following a two-day weather delay. Bangladesh resumed their first innings at 107/3, with Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim returning to bat.

Jasprit Bumrah struck early in the morning session, causing an immediate impact. The speedster’s breakthrough provided India momentum and put pressure on Bangladesh’s batsmen. Haque and Rahim attempted to maintain the innings and counter India’s bowling attack.

The rain and wet outfield from the previous two days prevented any play, therefore, the second and third days had to be canceled. Bumrah’s early strike stoked enthusiasm, and the delayed start increased expectation. Now that the game has begun, both teams will try to take advantage of every chance to use as much time as possible.

Jasprit Bumrah stunned Mushfiqur Rahim:

The second and final Test continued at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Day 4, and Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah struck early, dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim to put Bangladesh on the back foot. Mushfiqur underestimated Bumrah’s delivery, which led to a clean bowling outcome.

Mushfiqur’s choice to abandon Bumrah’s fuller nip-backer, which slipped through and clipped the top of the off-stump, proved expensive for both him and the Bangladesh cricket team in the final Test, as the latter lost the match despite hammering a boundary on the opening ball of the 41st over.

Mushfiqur decided not to play at this one because the previous one had nipped back sharply, unsettling him. However, this ball was fuller and swung back in, smashing into the top of the off-stump. Bumrah tormented the batters all morning long before making his breakthrough.

Mushfiqur returns after hitting two boundaries and 11 off 32 balls. At the ongoing second and final Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, rain and a subpar drainage system prevented the teams from taking the field on Days 2 and 3. However, it was a tremendous start for Team India.
