The second game between India and Australia was delayed by more than two hours due to a wet outfield. The umpires gave a green signal for an eight over-per-side match. The toss took place around 9.15 PM and India chose to field first.
Rohit Sharma at the toss announced the most awaited return of Jasprit Bumrah into the side. Bhuvnneshwar Kumar was dropped and Rishabh Pant got a game for himself.
Australian opener Cameron Green survived a scare after Virat Kohli dropped him at mid-off. However, he ran out of his luck shortly after. Virat Kohli’s sensational display of fielding resulted in his run-out. In no time, India clinched three wickets for under 46 runs.
Indian pace sensation, Jasprit Bumrah, returned to the side after a long gap. He was out of action owing to a lower back injury. Interestingly, he was introduced after the powerplay in the fifth over.
Bumrah did not have a good start as he bowled a wide-off the first delivery and the next delivery went for a boundary. Matthew Wade survived his trademark yorker in the third delivery and nudged it for a couple of runs. However, his partner, Aaron Finch, could not evade Bumrah’s top-notch perfect yorker.
Finch was bowled out in the last delivery of the over. Bumrah smashed his leg stump with a quick-nailing yorker. The Australian skipper was deceived by the pace. The crowd erupted and certainly enjoyed the pacer’s comeback. Bumrah staged a perfect comeback in his very first over of the game.
Here’s the video of Bumrah’s masterclass:

Rohit Sharma guides India home to level series 1-1
Indian captain Rohit Sharma paced the run chase so well. He smacked Josh Hazlewood for back-to-back sixes in the first over to set the tone and held one end tight when Adam Zampa pulled it back with three wickets.
He absorbed the pressure in the end overs for some timely boundaries. Dinesh Karthik finished the game in two balls to delight the Indian fans.
