India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah got an opportunity to bat on the fourth day of the third Test match between India and Australia at the Gabba brewery ground in Brisbane. An unbelievable fighting spirit came in with the bat from Bumrah and made sure India did not follow on and hence contributed a lot to the total.
A great moment of Bumrah’s innings was that he hit a magnificent six on Australian skipper Pat Cummins. The shot made people gasp as Bumrah proved he could be terrible on the field and lethal in front of the crease. As for Bumrah, his batting was a reminder of the multiple skills of the player; he is not only a good bowler.
Bumrah batting was a blessing in disguise for the Indian team, which is otherwise finding it hard to face the Australian bowling. His innings have extended the scope of his capability as a cricketer and have probably made him even more precious for the Indian side.

Jasprit Bumrah on Day 4 of the third Test match in Brisbane took on Australian captain Pat Cummins and hit a big six. Across the border, the Indian fast bowler demonstrated an excellent piece of butterfly shot on the pull through Cummins, in the 68th over, long leg over a six.
Bumrah could afford a smile after this shot while Cummins looked quite disappointed. For the six, they managed to make a six, which was clear from Bumrah’s batting skills, and it also took India through, avoiding the follow-on. For the final wicket, Bumrah and Akash Deep did well and saw that India did not have to chase any target.
Finally, because of bad light, the play of the day had to be called off, but India was able to save it from follow-on. One that would go down as one of the highlights of the match was a six Bumrah hit off the bat of Cummins.
