SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) CEO and co-owner, Kavya Maran, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions when Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) dropped Travis Head during the seventh match of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).

The match is being held on Thursday, March 27, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The incident occurred on the first ball of the sixth over of SRH’s innings. Ravi Bishnoi delivered a full-length ball, and Head attempted to launch it into the stands but mistimed his lofted shot, directing it toward long-on.

Nicholas Pooran had ample time to position himself and appeared to have the catch under control, getting both hands on the ball, only to let it slip. As the Australian opener got a lifeline, SRH’s co-owner Kavya Maran reacted emotionally, leaping from her seat in visible relief. You can watch the video here:

Later in the same over, Travis Head got another reprieve when Ravi Bishnoi missed a caught-and-bowled chance. The left-hander capitalized on these opportunities, going on to score 47 runs off 28 balls, smashing five fours and three sixes.

Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Nicholas Pooran handed a lifeline to explosive opener Travis Head during the IPL 2025 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, March 27. Pooran dropped a high catch when Head was batting on 35.

The moment occurred in the sixth over of SRH’s innings. Ravi Bishnoi delivered a flighted ball to start the over, and the Australian batter attempted a big shot toward long-on. Pooran sprinted back, positioned himself well, but couldn’t hold onto the catch, letting the ball slip through his hands.
