During the Duleep Trophy game on Sunday, September 8, at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India B wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and India A player Kuldeep Yadav shared a funny exchange in the 41st over of India A’s innings.
When Kuldeep Yadav hit the fifth ball for a boundary, Rishabh Pant had all fielders move close-in before the last ball to prevent a single ensuring that Akash Deep would face next over. Rishabh Pant said:
“Sab upar rehna single ke liye sare.” [Everyone stay close to stop the single].
In response, Kuldeep Yadav replied:
“Me nahi lunga.” [ I won’t take the single]
“Kha le maa kasam nhi lega.” [ Asking Kuldeep to swear on his mother]
Pant then asked Kuldeep to swear on his mother for reassurance. The wicketkeeper-batter replied:

Kuldeep Yadav ending up defending a single run in his last ball. The left-handed batter made 14 off 56 balls with one boundary before Washington Sundar got him out.
India B defeated India A by 76 runs in the Duleep Trophy match
India A was in deep trouble, losing their opener Mayank Agarwal for only three runs on the second over in pursuit of 275 runs. But Riyan Parag batting at number three was explosive in his 31 off 18 balls that included one boundary and three sixes before Yash Dayal got rid of him. The skipper Shubman Gill could not capitalize on his good start either as he got out for 21 after being dismissed by Navdeep Saini.
In addition, Dhruv Jurel went back home without scoring a single run having been bowled out by Yash also called Dayal. Mukesh Kumar secured his first wicket bringing down Tanush Kotian who had no runs to his name leaving India A at 76/5 after just 15.1 overs.
On the other hand, Shivam Dube made a modest contribution of 14 runs off 27 balls; KL Rahul however played solid innings with seven boundaries before being caught behind by M designates Mukesh scoring 57 off 121 balls..
Later in the match, Akash Deep had an impressive innings scoring 43 runs off 42 balls including three boundaries and four maximums like none before him but still India A were bowled out for just 198 losing by 76 runs. Yash Dayal did well with the ball ending up with three wickets for himself making him a superstar bowler for India B.
