Mumbai Indians’ Jasprit Bumrah, known for his pace, surprised everyone with his deceptive googly, troubling MI legend Kieron Pollard during a nets session.
In a video shared by Mumbai Indians on Instagram, Bumrah bowled three deliveries to Pollard, all appearing to be googlies. While Pollard managed to punch the first delivery towards the covers, he struggled with the second one, narrowly avoiding being hit on the leg.
In the end, the former West Indies superstar managed to hit Jasprit Bumrah down the ground on the final delivery, leading to a friendly banter between them about whether it would be caught in the deep or go for a six.

Jasprit Bumrah regains the Purple Cap with a match-winning performance against Punjab
Jasprit Bumrah delivered outstanding figures of 3/21 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), contributing significantly to MI’s nine-run victory in Mullanpur on Thursday, April 18. He remains the standout performer in Mumbai’s bowling lineup.
In the post-match presentation, Bumrah acknowledged the pressures of modern T20 cricket on bowlers and shared his thoughts on handling those challenges.
“What you can do is try to prepare to the best of your ability and back yourself in any situation because all of that will then put you in a good space of mind and you can go out there and execute with a smile on your face.”
Bumrah has taken 13 wickets in seven matches with an economy rate of only 5.96, highlighting his exceptional performance in this IPL season.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on April 22nd.
