[WATCH]- Kieron Pollard Wins Hearts With His Gesture Following The MLC Game

Captain Keiron Pollard led his side – MI New York– to reach the playoffs in Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 by beating Los Angeles Knight Riders four wickets at Dallas on Sunday where they faced Los Angeles Knight Riders whose score was 130 and had made partnership of 130 runs before being dismissed by Kieron Pollard himself.

They remained on top throughout the match after he had chased down the total of 131 with three overs to spare after which Pollard smashed an unbeaten 33 off just 12 balls including 3 sixes and 2 fours, while Pollard scored those sixes on three consecutive balls from Spencer Johnson in the 15th over.

The first six was hit straight over the bowler`s head off the third ball of the over, the second was a heave way over square leg into the stands. Johnson changed to round the wicket and attempted bowling a yorker, missed it; instead, the ball was again disdainfully whipped over mid-wicket into the stands hitting the right shoulder of a lady fan who was waving a MI New York flag in her right hand.

The fan in question sought comfort from the two after the fight. Pollard and Nicholas Pooran tracked her down, whereupon they consoled, apologized, autographed, poses her with Pooran, and requested the husband to look after her besides apologizing for the blow stating, ‘be a man’ as they shook hands.

“It was a plan that worked out in the end” – Kieron Pollard commented on his bowling

Kieron Pollard spoke about how it felt good winning the game; he also said that he was happy. He talked about how honored he feels when playing for Mumbai Indians. The all-rounder came out on top of his bowling and said everything went according to plan. Addressing the gathering during the closing ceremony, the following is what he said:

“It was a plan that worked out in the end (on bowling the 20th over), I could’ve gone for 20 and they could have got past 150. I could have gone for the young guy (Rushil Ugarkar), but it was one of the days when we got what we wanted.”

”I heard that one of the supporters in the crowd got hit, I hope she’s OK and I hope we can do something for her on our part to make her happy,” he concluded.
