[WATCH]- LSG Honours Shardul Thakur With Special Jersey For 100th IPL Appearance

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Shardul Thakur is poised to make his 100th Indian Premier League (IPL) appearance in the 2025 season. LSG will face the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), at Eden Gardens on Tuesday, April 8.

Thakur, who has participated in 99 IPL matches to date, will mark his milestone game with a special jersey presented by former Indian pacer and LSG mentor Zaheer Khan. The jersey features the number ‘100’ printed above his name to commemorate his 100th IPL appearance.

To commemorate Shardul Thakur‘s 100th IPL appearance, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) presented him with a special jersey featuring the number ‘100’ above his name.  This season, Thakur has taken seven wickets in four matches, averaging 18.85 with an economy rate of 10.15.

LSG hopes Shardul Thakur shines in his milestone match as they look to extend their three-game winning streak after an opening loss. Mentor Zaheer Khan presented him with a special jersey during a team huddle, with Thakur proudly posing to mark the occasion.

A Look at Shardul Thakur’s IPL Stats

Shardul Thakur made his IPL debut in 2015 with the Punjab Kings, featuring in just one match that season. He then joined Rising Pune Super Giants in 2017 for a single season before being picked up by Chennai Super Kings in 2018. From 2018 to 2021, Shardul was a regular part of the CSK lineup.

In 2022, Shardul played for Delhi Capitals, then joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023. He returned to CSK in 2024 but went unsold in the 2025 auction. Later, he was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants as a replacement player ahead of the season.

Over the course of 99 IPL matches, Shardul has accumulated 315 runs, including a half-century. With the ball, he has taken 101 wickets at an average of 29.71 and an economy rate of 9.26.
