[WATCH]- Mohammad Rizwan Executes A Stunning Catch To Dismiss Zakir Hasan In The First PAK vs BNG Test

On August 23, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan showed his class with a great diving catch for dismissing Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan on Day 3 of the first Test match against Bangladesh that took place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan.

The dismissal happened in the 17th over with only 5 balls bowled by Naseem Shah who was bowling his eighth over and had already made 4 dot balls before he enticingly drew Hasan into making a drive. This ultimately led to the outside edge of his bat flying into Rizwan’s hands after performing a full-stretch dive; thus becoming Bangladesh’s first wicket.

Pakistan begins Day 3 strongly against Bangladesh

In the morning stage of Day 3, Pakistan have been right on track with their bowling and fielding. Their bowling unit has remained in full swing since they posted 448/6 through centuries by wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Saud Shakeel, hitting the bat several times.

The hosts’ joy was even brighter when Naseem Shah broke the opening stand worth 31 runs as he accounted for Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan. Pakistan were looking for another wicket, which came eventually after Khurram Shehzad delivered an excellent inswinger to get rid of Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto on 16 runs.

At the start of the third day, Naseem Shah removed Bangladeshi opener Zakir Hasan in the very first session, which ended the opening partnership at 31 runs. The home side had another breakthrough, when pacer Khurram Shehzad bowed down a ball that turned away to dismiss Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was the captain of Bangladesh and had scored 16 runs.

Bangladesh is currently at 53/2 after 28 overs. The opening batsman is Shadman Islam (19) and Mominul Haque is also batting but they are 395 runs behind.
