Watch – Mohammed Siraj And Kuldeep Yadav Give Out Even Before Umpire Raises His Finger

Team India cricketers Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav were seen having fun with the umpire during the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday in Dharamsala. Batting first, the Islanders have posted a mammoth total of 183 runs on the board.

While Kuldeep and Siraj are not part of the playing XI, it didn’t stop them from having fun inside the ground. Charith Asalanka soon went for the review after Yuzvendra Chahal trapped him in front.

The replays showed there was no bat involved and the ball-tracking showed three red lights forcing the umpire to stay with his decision. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav raised fingers even before the umpire could adjudge the batsman out.

Kuldeep was so excited that he collided with the umpire and was later seen apologizing to the match officials.

Speaking of the game, Sri Lanka got off to a brisk start against India as their captain Dasun Shanaka wanted. The openers added 67 runs for the 1st wicket in 8.4 overs for the middle-order to follow.

It was Danushka Gunathilaka who took on Jadeja before falling to him. Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal and Bumrah outsmarted the batters with their variety, but Shanaka stole the show at the death, making full use of these small boundaries.

The Sri Lanka captain remained unbeaten on 47 off 19 balls including two boundaries and five sixes to propel Sri Lanka to 183 runs.

Gunathilaka believes they have a good total on board to level the series ahead of the 3rd T20I. Speaking at the mid-innings break, he said:

“It was difficult against the swinging new ball. So, we decided to take our time and then go after the bowlers. I think we have got a very competitive score. We’re looking at giving a good start, particular;y in the first 6 overs. The plan is not to lose any wickets, get around 45 runs and in the end Dasun (Shanaka) did a very good job.”
