During the IPL 2024 match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Thursday, April 11, RCB’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was impressed by the performance of MI’s speedster Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah clinched the Player of the Match title for his outstanding 5-21 figures as MI defeated RCB by seven wickets. His exceptional performance at the challenging Wankhede Stadium highlighted his skill, leaving Siraj equally impressed.

Jasprit Bumrah is the standout star of the IPL: Harbhajan Singh
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has been part of the Mumbai Indians dressing room for many years alongside Jasprit Bumrah. He has witnessed the transformation of the young, slender pacer into one of the game’s finest bowlers.
Singh highlighted Bumrah’s exceptional performance against RCB, emphasizing that the five-wicket haul wouldn’t make Bumrah complacent; instead, he would strive to continue improving.
This is what Harbhajan Singh shared with Star Sports:
“He (Bumrah) wants to learn every day, even if he got five wickets today, he’ll go back and tomorrow, he’ll see the videos of himself and see where he can improve. And he’s so calm, composed.”
“When it comes to pressure situation, no one does better than what he does. People often talk about Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, because it’s a batter game. But, if you talk about the superstars of the game, he’s by far I think, the superstar of the IPL.”
Bumrah currently leads the bowling charts with the Purple Cap, having taken 10 wickets in five games with an astonishing economy rate of just 5.95.
