[WATCH]- MS Dhoni Shares Light-Hearted Update On His Cricketing Future

Former India skipper MS Dhoni shared a humorous take on his cricketing future during a recent event in Chennai, where he was present for the inauguration of Maxvision Eye Super Speciality Hospital. Speaking at the event, Dhoni joked that while he could continue playing cricket for another five years, there’s a twist.

He amusingly revealed that a doctor had given him the green light, but only in terms of his eyesight. Dhoni clarified with a smile that the approval didn’t extend to the rest of his body.

“I just got a tick mark for the next five years I can play cricket. The only catch is doc only gave a clearance for eyesight. He didn’t give a clearance for body. I cannot play cricket only with my eyes,” he said.

MS Dhoni Provides Update On Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Comeback

MS Dhoni resumed CSK captaincy in IPL 2025 after Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined with an injury. Despite his return, CSK struggled and finished last with just four wins. Looking ahead, Dhoni confirmed Gaikwad’s comeback and said the team aims to address key gaps next season.

“There were certain holes that we need to plug in. I think our batting order is quite sorted out now. Rutu (Gaikwad) will be coming back. A small auction is coming in December. You know some holes are there, and we will try to plug those in.”

“But again, you have to be at your best at the start of the tournament. You have to get the planning right. You have to use the resources in the best possible manner,” he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
