Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took to social media on Tuesday, November 5, to wish Virat Kohli on his 36th birthday. Kohli’s most recent performance came in the recently concluded three-match Test series against New Zealand, where the visiting team made history by becoming the first to whitewash India in a three-match series on home ground.
Kohli had a tough series, managing only 93 runs from six innings. Prior to that, he scored just 99 runs in two matches against Bangladesh, which has sparked ongoing criticism of his form.
On Kohli’s 36th birthday, Yuvraj shared a heartfelt message, expressing his belief that Kohli would make a strong comeback, as he has done in the past, while also posting some nostalgic throwback footage.
“Wishing you a very Happy Birthday #KingKohli! The greatest comebacks emerge from our setbacks and the world eagerly looks forward to your solid comeback (fire emoji) you’ve done it in the past and I’m sure you will do it yet again (other emojis) God bless! lots of love,” he wrote.

Yuvraj retired from international cricket in 2019 and has since competed in various Legends League tournaments. The 42-year-old’s latest appearance was in July 2024, when the India Champions defeated the Pakistan Champions to claim the World Championship of Legends title.
Virat Kohli became the fourth Indian to score 9,000 Test runs against New Zealand
Despite a tough series against New Zealand, Virat Kohli became the fourth Indian to surpass 9,000 Test runs, now totaling 9,040 runs from 118 Tests, with 31 fifties and 29 centuries.
In One-Day Internationals, Kohli has scored 13,906 runs in 295 matches, with 72 fifties and 50 centuries—most by any player in the format. Additionally, Kohli is a T20I star, having amassed 4,188 runs in 125 matches, including 38 fifties and one century, after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup.
