[WATCH]- Pat Cummins Castles Rohit Sharma With A Top-Of-Off Peach In The 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

India captain Rohit Sharma fell cheaply once again on Day 2 of the second Test against Australia, bowled by Pat Cummins at the Adelaide Oval. The Australian skipper produced a stunning delivery that clipped the top of off-stump, dismissing Rohit for 6 off 15 balls.

The wicket came in the 21st over, with Pant taking a single off the second ball to bring Rohit back on strike. After defending the third delivery and leaving the fourth outside off, Rohit was undone by a pinpoint delivery from Cummins. The ball targeted the top of off-stump, and as Rohit pushed forward to defend, it snuck past his bat.

Rohit, who was dismissed for 3 by Scott Boland in the first innings, had an eventful second-innings stay. He took a blow on the grill from Mitchell Starc’s bouncer after it deflected off his bat.

On the very next delivery, the on-field umpire gave him out lbw, but the decision was overturned as it was a no-ball. The veteran batter briefly found confidence with a stylish cover drive in Starc’s following over but ultimately fell for 6.

“RETIRE HOJAO BHAI”- Fans react as Rohit Sharma is dismissed for 6 off 15 in the 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

India captain Rohit Sharma once again fell cheaply in the second innings of the day/night Test against Australia on Day 2 in Adelaide, Saturday, December 7. The right-handed batter was bowled out by Australian captain Pat Cummins for just six runs off 15 balls. Rohit had earlier scored only three runs off 23 balls in the first innings, dismissed lbw by Scott Boland.

Rohit’s consecutive failures came after he moved down to No. 6 for the first time in 37 Tests to allow the in-form KL Rahul to open in the pink-ball Test. The 37-year-old has struggled with the bat in his last six Tests, managing just 133 runs in five matches (10 innings), including a single half-century.

Fans on X criticized Rohit’s poor performance in Adelaide, with one user commenting:
