Australia captain Pat Cummins claimed Nitish Kumar Reddy‘s wicket with a perfectly executed bouncer, securing a fifer on Day 3 of the second Test in Adelaide on Sunday, December 8. Reddy, attempting an uppercut, hit the ball straight to third man.
The right-hander scored 42 off 47 balls, including a six and six fours, ensuring India avoided an innings defeat in the pink-ball Test. His dismissal occurred in the 36th over of India’s second innings.
Cummins delivered a wide, angled-in ball with extra bounce. Reddy leaned back for the uppercut but mistimed it, sending it directly to Nathan McSweeney at third man. Clearly frustrated, Reddy showed disappointment at gifting his wicket.
