Pat Cummins from Australia achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a hat trick for the second time during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. Cummins matched his previous hat trick performance against Bangladesh in the Super8 matchup against Afghanistan on June 23. Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, and Gulbadin Naib were all bowled out by him in three consecutive deliveries, making him the first bowler in T20 World Cup history to accomplish this feat.

In his past T20 game against Bangladesh, Cummins packed away his most memorable T20 full go-around. Only two days after the fact, he scratched his name in T20I history as the main player to guarantee consecutive full go-arounds.

With the final ball of the 18th over, the ODI World Cup winner first removed Rashid Khan from the game, capping an incredible effort against Afghanistan. Afterward, he removed Gulbadin Naib and Karim Janat with the first two balls of the 20th over.

In the T20 World Cup 2024, the Rashid Khan Team created history this past Saturday when they defeated Australia, the former champions, by a margin of 21 runs in a Super 8 match. Afghanistan ended the match with a score of 148/6, having held Australia to just 127 runs in 19.2 overs.
Gulbadin Naib presented a challenge at first, but Glenn Maxwell‘s stunning 59 off 41 balls seemed to set Australia up for victory. But Naib’s tactical work in the second part of the game kept the Australian pair leading the chase, Maxwell and Stoinis, from taking any kind of meaningful lead.
He removed Stoinis in his opening over, which had an impact, and in his second over, he dismissed Tim David. Naib took his third wicket in his third over as Noor Ahmad made a superb catch that forced Maxwell back to the pavilion. With his fourth wicket, a clean bowling of Pat Cummins, he capably ended his run.
