[WATCH] R Ashwin Miffed After Horrible Run-Out With Ravindra Jadeja

Team India all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were involved in a horrible mix-up during the second day of the first Test against England on Friday, January 26 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Ashwin was left miffed as he had to walk back to the pavilion disappointed.

The incident took place during the ninety-first over of the Indian innings. Ravichandran Ashwin punched a delivery from Joe Root for a single towards the right of the cover fielder. He set off for a run, which was also responded to by Ravindra Jadeja. However, the non-striker stopped and then turned back to his crease as the fielder, Tom Hartley stopped the ball.

Ashwin kept running and was caught ball-watching. The duo found themselves at the same end with Jadeja getting his bat in the crease first. The wicketkeeper ran Ashwin out, sending the all-rounder back to the pavilion. Ashwin was dismissed for one run from eleven deliveries, as India lost their seventh wicket.
