Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) cricketer Rahul Tripathi plucked on to a stunning catch diving to his left to dismiss Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill. It was a herculean effor from the former Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer.

Opting to field first, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got off to a sloppy start, giving away 17 runs in the first over. The senior statesman was wayward, bowling on both sides of the wicket. However, Marco Jansen started well from the other end, conceding only seven runs before Rahul Tripathi produced a superman effort.

The incident took place in the third over of the match. It was a proper wide half volley from Bhuvneshwar Kumar that deservedly was sliced powerfully. It was slapped hard by Shubman Gill and was on the left of the cover fielder.

Rahul Tripathi produced an effort out of nowhere to grab onto a stunning catch. He jumped to his left, and plucked out a jaffa to dismiss Shubman, who missed his century by four runs in the last match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad continue the pressure on Gujarat Titans, picking up another wicket. T Natarajan got the better of young Sai Sudarshan in the sixth over of the match.

“Hopefully we can put in another strong performance tonight” – SRH captain Kane Williamson

The 2016 IPL winners who returned to winning ways in their last game against Chennai Super Kings is confident about carrying the momentum against Gujarat Titans.

Speaking at the toss, Kane Williamson said:

“We’re going to have a bowl. I think there’s still that dew factor so for us it’s about using our skills first up with the ball in hand and then chase it down. We saw improvement in the second match and some again in the third which resulted in a win. Hopefully we can put in another strong performance tonight.”
