Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was one of the standout performers as India thrashed England 3-1 in the four-match Test series. The cricketer from Tamil Nadu was welcomed home from Ahmedabad after the Test series with love torture by his daughter.
Ashwin returned as the highest wicket-taker of the series returning with 32 wickets – five more than young all-rounder Axar Patel who scalped 27 wickets from four matches. Besides picking 32 wickets, he also scored 189 runs in the recently concluded bilateral series between England and hosts India. Ravichandran Ashwin played an instrumental role in guiding the Kohli-led side to the final of the ICC World Test Championship at Southampton.

Back home after a remarkable series win against England, the veteran spinner received a lot of love from his daughter. On Friday, Ashwin’s wife Prithi Narayanan shared an adorable video of the Delhi Capitals (DC) superstar as the ace spinner was treated to some “love torture” by her daughter. Taking to Instagram, Ashwin’s wife shared a sweet video in which the veteran cricketer can be seen having a fun time with his little daughter.

“The kind of love torture I get a break from when @rashwin99 is home,” Ashwin’s wife Prithi captioned the video on the photo and video sharing platform.

The 34-year-old is tipped to spearhead the bowling department of the Kohli-led side in the final of the ICC World Test Championship later this year. India will lock horns with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand in the summit clash at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton.
Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin’s next assignment will be in IPL 2020 when he turns up for Delhi Capitals. He was not included in India’s T20I squad for the series against England in the five-match series. India skipper Virat Kohli has ruled out any chances of Ashwin coming back into the shortest format with Washington Sundar doing an excellent job.
